Trained in surgery for deafness from Germany .and done Cochlear implant training at Royal Australian hospital in Melbourne.
Author of 4 books on ENT of which, his‘Practical ENT ‘ was the first book of its kind in the country ,and now in its 23nd yr of publication& ninth edition.
He has 36 published research articles in various national and international journals and is also on the editorial board of four Indexed journals.
He is the editor and author of the ENT section of the IAP Textbook of Paediatrics , Textbook of Adolescent Medicine ,100 Questions in Paediatrics,IAP Colour atlas of Pediatrics and The Textbook of Tropical Allergy and Asthma.
Has been a guest speaker at the IFOS world congress of ENT at Sydney in 1997 and at Cairo in 2002.
Organized the first Indo- austrailian Cochlear implants workshop in 1995.
