Experience – The fellowship had a high volume of patients with shoulder and knee injuries which were operated arthroscopically as well as by open techniques. As a fellow, I had an excellent opportunity to operate independently as well as assist surgeries, and was exposed to over 150 surgeries in 6 months. I also handled patients independently in clinics.
2. Fellow in Shoulder and Sports Injuries
Hospital – Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, India
Duration – 3 Months (01/05/2013 to 31/07/2013)
Mentor – Dr Ashish Babhulkar
Experience – This fellowship dealt exclusively with shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement. There was a high volume of patients with almost 100 patients daily in clinics and approximately 15 shoulder surgeries a week. I had a good opportunity to assist in all these surgeries.
